HSHP teacher appointed to Pre-AP National Faculty

Aaron Chila, a science teacher at Harlingen School of Health Professions, has been appointed to the Pre-AP National Faculty for demonstrating effective teaching practices, proven classroom success, and his experience leading professional learning.

After a rigorous application process, Chila was selected to represent and serve as National Faculty for the Pre-AP Program, joining more than 300 National Faculty members from across the United States.

“I feel excited and empowered to be a part of an internationally respected program that focuses on student and teacher growth,” Chila said. “I am also confident that the experiences I will have as part of the Pre-AP National Faculty will create positive effects in my own classroom.”

Pre-AP National Faculty members are College Board-endorsed educators who facilitate professional learning experiences in more than 46 states and 1,000+ districts across the nation and around the world.

They are stewards of College Board’s mission to clear a path for all students to own their future by promoting excellence and equity in education.
