Harlingen CISD made its mark once again as a high-performing school district.

The Educational Results Partnership released their annual Honor Roll, a selection of Texas public schools and school districts that have achieved high academic performance, maintained performance, and reduced the achievement gap among specific diverse student populations.

Three Harlingen CISD campuses made the Texas honor roll list – Bowie Elementary, Early College High School, and Harlingen School of Health Professions.

“We are super proud of Bowie Elementary, Early College High School, and Harlingen School of Health Professions for earning their place on the Educational Results Partnership Honor Roll,” said Superintendent Dr. Art Cavazos. “Our teachers and administrative staff work diligently with our students to ensure they receive a quality, world-class education. We congratulate our educators whose passion and drive led to this recognition.”

Tina Garza, principal of Harlingen School of Health Professions, accredits her dedicated instructors for this prestigious performance acknowledgment.

“Harlingen School of Health Professions is excited to celebrate our students’ accomplishments and our staff’s hard work and dedication,” Garza said. “Being recognized for our positive impact on academic achievement and personalizing student learning is a tremendous way to wrap up the year and transition into next year’s challenges.”

The Educational Results Partnership Honor Roll selected 855 schools and six school districts for the 2018-19 school year. It can be accessed at www.edresults.org
