Vivian Bauer was appointed principal of Harlingen High School, and Imelda Trevino has been appointed interim principal of Dr. Abraham P. Cano Freshman Academy.
Vivian Bauer will serve as principal of Harlingen High School after having served as principal at Dr. Cano Freshman Academy for the last seven years. Prior to that, she served as Principal at Stuart Place Elementary for six years. Mrs. Bauer has successfully worked in the field of education for the last 31 years. She believes in ensuring all students are college and career ready while promoting academics, the arts, and athletics.
Imelda Trevino will serve as interim principal of Cano Freshman Academy after having served as Associate Principal for Teaching and Learning at Harlingen High School for the last eight years. Prior to that, she was a counselor for nine years at Harlingen High School. She has been working in the field of education for 23 years. Mrs. Trevino is dedicated to ensuring the success of all students and staff.
