Harlingen CISD is proud to announce that Beatrice Cruz, Sabrina Garza, and Antonia Salas, who were previously serving as interim principals, have officially been named campus principals at their respective campuses.
Beatrice Cruz is the principal of Zavala Elementary.
Cruz has 23 years of experience in education. Throughout her time at HCISD, she has served as a paraprofessional, teacher, and assistant principal at Zavala Elementary and an instructional coach at Treasure Hills Elementary.
Sabrina Garza is the principal of Bowie Elementary.
Garza has 21 years of experience in education and worked as the assistant principal of Bowie Elementary for the last seven years. Prior to starting her career in HCISD, she was an elementary classroom teacher for 15 years.
Antonia Salas is the principal of Dishman Elementary.
Salas has 26 years of experience in Education and has served in HCISD for 21 years. She began her career at HCISD as a teacher at Coakley Middle School, served seven years as assistant principal at Austin Elementary, and 10 years as assistant principal at Jefferson Elementary and served as principal resident at Cano Freshman Academy.
