Receiving honors and recognition, both the Harlingen High School and Harlingen High School South Marching Bands ended their competition year with an outstanding performance at the 2013 Pigskin Jubilee on Oct. 19.
The annual competition, held at San Benito’s Bobby Morrow Stadium, brings together marching bands from across the Rio Grande Valley to compete for top ratings. Both HHS and HHSS received first division ratings, which is the highest score possible.

The competition marks the end of the competition season for the bands, as it is an odd year. During even numbered years, the bands would have had the opportunity to advance to the state competition.
