HHS business club ranks high at national convention


Members of the Harlingen High School Business Professionals of America (BPA) Club received national recognition for their remarkable involvement in the BPA National Leadership Conference on May 12.

Lindsey Longoria, Sandra Perez, and Faustino Saenz traveled to Orlando, Florida to attend the three-day conference and were given the prestigious honor of becoming National Merit Scholars. Longoria and Perez ranked 8th out of 456, while Saenz ranked 17th.

In addition, Longoria was awarded a scholarship for 600 dollars.

While there, students had the opportunity to compete in a variety of events. Saenz placed 23rd in the Advanced Office Systems and Procedures category.
