During the month of January, Harlingen CISD honors its Board of Trustees for their dedication and willingness to serve as advocates for our children and public schools. As elected officials, they are the voice of their communities, serving first and foremost in the best interest of Texas schoolchildren.
Campuses across the district will join the celebration of School Board Recognition Month by displaying messages of appreciation throughout their marquees and halls. In addition, the district’s website will showcase each member during the week of Jan. 14 -20.
To commemorate the 2019 celebration, members will be presented with a token of gratitude during the regular Board of Trustees meeting on Jan. 15. Serving on HCISD’s Board of Trustees are Greg Powers – President, Dr. Nolan Perez – Vice President, Eladio Jaimez – Secretary, Gerry Fleuriet – Member, Dr. Bobby Muniz – Member, Javier De Leon – Member, and Dr. Belinda Reininger – Member.
