Even though she’s not here with me, I know she’s really happy that I’ve accomplished my dreams,” said Pena. “I want to thank everyone for coming. I want to thank my family and friends for supporting me and being here. This was always my dream; It’s an awesome opportunity to be able to run at the college level.”

She recently placed 2nd in the Long Jump and 2nd in the 100 meters at the Regional Meet.

Pena will be competing in the Long Jump (4:00 P.M.) and 100 meters (7:00 P.M.) at the 2015 UIL Track and Field State Championship to be held at the University of Texas at Austin’s Mike Myers Stadium.
