The Harlingen High School South UIL team won the 32-6A UIL Academic District Championship on Saturday, March 25. Students competed in 25 academic events accumulating the most points out of the 12 schools that make up the academic district. The top three competitors in each event advance to the UIL Academic Regional Meet to be on April 7-8 at the University of Texas at San Antonio.
Harlingen South took first place in the Cross Examination Debate, One Act Play, and Speech events.
