Cardinals, Hawks to compete in 32-6A in re-aligned UIL


The Cardinals and Hawks will be flocking to a new division with new and familiar opponents starting Fall 2014.

The University Interscholastic League (UIL) announced on Monday the re-alignment of the high school athletic programs for the 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 school years. The change included adding a new division, division 6A, for schools with 2100 students or more, which included both Harlingen High School and Harlingen High School South.

The Cardinals and Hawks will join Brownsville Veterans, Brownsville Hanna, Brownsville Rivera, Brownsville Lopez, San Benito, and Los Fresnos high schools in 6A-32. For more information, please visit the UIL website at
