During their regular meeting on Oct.9, the Harlingen Consolidated Independent School District Board of Trustees approved the hiring of the Assistant Principal at Harlingen High School and a donation of land to the district’s AG program.
Patricia Muniz was hired as the Assistant Principal at HHS. Muniz had served as the school’s counselor since 2003, and has held the positions of teacher and counselor at San Benito ISD and Donna ISD.
She has worked in education since 1993.
The board also approved the donation of 3.06 acres to the district’s AG Program. The land was donated by the FFA Booster club and had previously been used, for almost 20 years, as the district’s AG Farm before its newest facility was built.
With the donation, the program intends on using the facility as an area for quarantined animals.
