The community is invited to attend Amazing Skies on Saturday, Oct. 18.
Hosted by the Urban Science Initiative at the Texas State Technical College Cultural Arts Center, the science event is focused on space science and includes activities about light, the sun, planets, spaceships, rocket building, space exploration and much more.
The event will also feature an opportunity to meet NASA Astronaut Mike Fossum and see the stars at night with telescopes from the San Antonio Astronomical Association. Hands-on activities and tours of the Challenger Learning Center will be presented throughout the day.
The event will take place from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and the cost of entry will be one dollar.
