Seventeen HHSS Latin Club members advancing to State Competition

Seventeen Harlingen High School South Latin Club students will compete in the 2017 Texas State Junior Classical League on March 31 and April 1 in San Antonio after completing rigorous prerequisites to become state-qualified.

More than 300 schools will participate at the state-level event. Students who advance at the Texas State Junior Classical League will qualify to attend the National Competition over the summer in Troy, Alabama.

State Qualifiers and their respective individual events are listed below.

Tiffany Yupell (Greek Mythology Level 2, Miscellaneous Classical Art Level 2)

Elizabeth Rivera (Sight Recitation Level 1 and Latin Oratory Level 1)
