Palms Behavioral Health donates $10K to Harlingen Area Educational Foundation

Palms Behavioral Health made a substantial donation to the Harlingen Area Educational Foundation on Tuesday morning.

Joined by Harlingen CISD Superintendent Dr. Art Cavazos, Palms Behavioral Health CEO Brennan Francois presented a $10,000 check to the foundation inside the Harlingen CISD board room.

“It’s every parent’s dream that their kids do better than they did, and the education foundation is the key to that,” Francois said. “We draw from this community the employees that help manage our patients, so we’re very invested in their education because education, we believe, is the foundation for every community.”

The donation marked the first time Palms Behavioral Health contributed to the Harlingen Area Education Foundation, and Francois said the mental and behavioral health facility plans to continue supporting the education of students within its community.

“We are grateful for our community partners and their unwavering support of student success,” Dr. Cavazos said. “We thank Palms Behavioral Health for the generous donation.”

The donation will provide resources to inspire 21st Century learning.

“We really appreciate Palms Behavioral support of our HCISD children,” the foundation’s president Eric Kennedy said.
