HCISD is excited to announce that Kevin Garcia has been selected as the Director for Advanced Academics.
Garcia has 15 years of experience in education. This is his first year in the district.
“I am excited to join Harlingen CISD and all the innovative work that supports our students and community,” Garcia said. “Through Advanced Academics, I am ready to take our students to their highest potential!”
Prior to joining HCISD, he held positions as a substitute teacher, teacher, assistant principal, principal, and director of professional development.
Garcia holds a bachelor’s in marketing from the University of Texas at Austin and a master’s in educational administration from the University of Texas at Austin.
