Interim Principal named for Coakley Middle School

HCISD is proud to announce that Elizabeth Minto-Bauer has been named interim principal for Coakley Middle School.

Minto-Bauer has worked in education for nearly two decades and spent 16 of those years inspiring future generations at HCISD.

She has served as a teacher at Vela Middle School, counselor at Austin Elementary and Gutierrez Middle School of Arts & Sciences, and assistant principal at Harlingen High School and Dr. Cano Freshman Academy.

Most recently, Minto-Bauer was serving as a principal resident at Coakley Middle School under the mentorship of longtime principal, Pedro Sanchez.

Minto-Bauer holds a bachelor’s in history, master’s in Guidance and Counseling, master’s in educational leadership, and is currently working to obtain a doctorate through Texas Tech University.

“I am humbled and honored to continue serving the school community of Coakley Middle School,” Minto-Bauer said. “I am dedicated to ensuring the success of all students and staff.” Congratulations to Mrs. Minto-Bauer.
