The Harlingen High School and Harlingen High School South cross-country teams competed at the 38th Annual Harlingen Cross Country Meet on Oct. 6.
The HHS boy’s team placed first overall. Team members Isaac Romero, Oscar Rodriguez and Donald Almazan placed second, third and 10th, respectively.
Aaron Media placed sixth for the HHSS boy’s team.
The HHS girl’s team placed sixth overall. Runners Ylaesli Guajardo and Jesslyn Garci placed 19th and 20th, respectively.
Ashley Araizu placed 11th for the HHSS girl’s team.
A total of nine schools competed in each of the competitions. The District 32-5A cross-country meet will be hosted by HCISD on Oct. 19.
