The Harlingen High School South tennis team had an outstanding performance at the Area Playoff on Oct. 11 and Oct. 12.
In the first round, the HHSS earned victory over PSJA High School with an overall score of 10-1. For their final round, the team soared over the Mustangs from McAllen Memorial with a score of 10-4.
The HHSS team is currently ranked 22nd in the state and will be making their 20th appearance at the regional tournament. Noe Stillman, HHSS tennis coach, expects another top performance from the HHSS tennis team at their next competition, he said.
The regional tournament will be held in Corpus Christi on Oct. 25 and Oct. 26.
