Harlingen High School South students traveled to Boston to compete in the Harvard National Speech and Debate Tournament on Feb. 14 – Feb. 16.
The team had a spectacular performance at the tournament, which is the biggest High School Invitational in the country, with student Paige Robles earning third place out of 423 competitors in Dramatic Interpretation.
Chris Esparza and Robles also shined by advancing to the quarterfinals in Duo Interpretation. Esparza also advanced to the quarterfinals in the Dramatic Interpretation. Robles advanced to the quarterfinals in Humorous Interpretation with partner Sawyer Warrenberg.
Matthew Canon advanced to the Octo – finals in Dramatic Interpretation.
