HHSS Future Business Leaders place at state competition

Students at Harlingen High School South competed in the Future Business Leaders of America State Leadership Conference on Mar. 14.

With their outstanding performance, the campus saw 8 out of the 25 participants place in the competition.

Individually, Jann Soto and Paige Robles placed first in Pubic Speaking and Impromptu Speaking, respectively. In addition to their champion titles they have qualified to for the National Competition in Nashville, TN on Jun. 27 – Jul. 3.

John Anthony Fraga placed fourth in Business Procedures.

As a team, Josh Anderson, Christopher Cavazos, and Matthew Ringheanu placed fourth in Sports & Entertainment Marketing. Benjamin Whitman placed fifth in Insurance & Risk Management. Individually, Timothy Gomez placed fifth in Information Technology.

Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) is the largest and oldest business student organization in the world. Over a quarter of a million high school and middle school students, college and university students, faculty, educators, administrators, and business professionals have chosen to be members of FBLA. FBLA prepares students for careers in business.
