HHS team earns spot at BPA National Leadership Conference

Members of the Harlingen High School BPA (Business Professionals of America) competed in the State Leadership Conference this past weekend and advanced in their individual events in areas of Accounting, Word Processing, and Desktop Publishing.  Also, for the very first time under the direction of business teacher Evangelina Vela, the Administrative Support Team placed 1st among the rest of the high schools in the state of Texas.

BPA students will compete at the  National Leadership Conference scheduled for the first week in May in Boston, Massachusetts.

The Administrative Support Team consists of: Victoria Galvan, Senior (Administrative Systems/Procedures); Macario Hernandez, Junior (Fundamentals of Accounting); Oziel Landaverde, Sophomore (Fundamentals of Desktop Publishing); Ana Lagunes, Senior (Intermediate Word Processing); and Rosa Moncada, Senior (Fundamentals of Word Processing).
