The HHS girl’s and HHSS boy’s basketball teams had an outstanding performance during their post-season games on Feb. 19.
The Lady Cardinals soared over Los Fresnos with a score of 36 – 20. With their win, they qualify for the Sweet 16 round of playoffs. This is the first time since 2000 that the team has qualified regional competition.
The next stop for the Lady Cardinals will be the Regional Tournament hosted by the University of Texas Pan- American on Feb. 22. The team will play Cibolo Steele in the UTPA Gymnasium.
The HHSS boy’s basketball team proved victorious over PSJA North with a score of 67 – 54 during the Class 5A bi-district playoff.
HHSS will advance to the Area Round to face Laredo United at the Texas A&M University –Kingsville Gymnasium on Feb. 22.
