Harlingen CISD students will perform the National Anthem at an upcoming Spurs game in San Antonio over the holiday.
Harlingen High School South and Harlingen High School performers Gabriela Rae Garza, Gabriella Celine Garza, and Aaron Blount will perform at the game scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 31.
The San Antonio Spurs will take on the Golden State Warriors on New Year’s Eve beginning at 6 p.m.
The trio will perform prior to the game.
“This is such an exciting performance of great significance due to the fact that not many high school students are afforded such a grand opportunity,” said Roni Rios, HCISD’s Director of Music and Arts. “We are eagerly awaiting the trio to shine in front of a crowd that will definitely be impressed by their music abilities.”
Their performance will be live-streamed on the music department’s Facebook page beginning at 5:45 p.m.
