HCISD students selected for TMEA All-State band and choir

After completing successful auditions at the Texas Music Educators Association Area competition, eight Harlingen CISD students were selected to represent the school district at the TMEA All-State Clinic and Convention.

All-State is the highest honor a Texas music student can receive.

To qualify for All-State ensembles, students go through a series of audition rounds in which their musical skills are put to the test. More than 70,000 students initially entered the TMEA All-State competitive process. The highest-ranking musicians judged at the TMEA Area competitions qualify to perform in one of 18 Texas All-State ensembles sponsored by the Band, Orchestra, and Vocal Divisions.
