Harlingen CISD has once again brought back its Books2Go Program. This offers students an opportunity to pick up several great novels, with a variety of selections to choose from.
HCISD started Books2Go about seven years ago. The program consists of a small group of school librarians traveling around town encouraging the love of reading by distributing books and providing reading activities to elementary students in the Harlingen community.
This summer, they will be setting up free book tables from June 1st throughout June 22nd on selected dates.
The books provided through the Books2Go program do not have to be checked in or out. They are given out as gifts.
High school-level literature is also available for any students in the upper grades who might be interested.
