Coming together to celebrate public education, the Harlingen Consolidated Independent School District kicks off its weeklong dedication to Texas schools on March 3.
The excitement is part of the 2014 Texas Public Schools Week (TPSW), which gives students and educators the chance to highlight the outstanding work that takes place on their campus and other campuses around the state each day. Throughout the week the campuses at HCISD will be hosting celebrations and different activities to honor public education.
“Leave Your Mark” has been designated as this year’s theme for TPSW to encourage students and teachers to leave their mark for a brighter future every day.
The Dr. Abraham P. Cano Freshman Academy will host the district kick-off on March 4 at 9:00 a.m. in their campus gymnasium.
