The Harlingen Consolidated Independent School District kicked off its first health fair for the year with staff at the administration building on Jan. 30.
Each year, the district hosts health fairs at campuses to provide district employees with the opportunity to get valuable health tests provided by HCISD and VBHP/VBMC Ref. Fairs will be hosted at numerous campuses throughout the remaining school year.
FREE SCREENINGS include:
- Fasting blood glucose
- Cholesterol screening ($ w/o VBHP insurance card)
- A1C for diabetic or high fasting blood glucose ($ w/o VBHP insurance card)
- Blood pressure
- Height and weight
- Body composition analysis
LAB WILL OFFER ADDITIONAL WELLNESS SCREENINGS FOR A FEE
Before having blood tests, district employees are asked to fast for 12 hours.
