The Harlingen Consolidated Independent School District is gearing up for the 21st annual Bird Bowl on Nov. 1.
The annual game is a celebration of the outstanding athletic programs at HCISD and sees the Harlingen High School and Harlingen High School South football teams play at J. Lewis Boggus Stadium.
The game will begin at 7:30 p.m.
In anticipation of the annual event, student athletes and student leaders from both schools started their day with sportsmanship and a good meal at annual Bird Bowl Breakfast on Oct. 30.
Board members and administrators recognized the athletes, cheerleaders, Cardettes, Southern Stars, band members, athletic trainers and student council members for their performance this season, and encouraged them to keep up the tradition.
The event celebrated the unity between the two campuses and the entire community at HCISD.
For those not able to catch the live game, Valleycentral.com will be hosting an audio broadcast. To listen to the audio broadcast of Bird Bowl XXI click here.
