The chess teams at the Harlingen Consolidated Independent School District earned top marks at the chess tournament hosted by Treasure Hills Elementary on March 1.
As a team in the K-1 Division, Dishman Elementary received first place, Austin Elementary fourth, Wilson Elementary eighth and Ben Milam Elementary earned 10th place.
In the K-3 Division and as a team, Dishman Elementary received first place, Treasure Hills Elementary second, Sam Houston Elementary third, Ben Milam Elementary fifth, Austin Elementary eighth, Wilson Elementary in 10th and Lamar came in 11th place.
Working as a team in the K-5 Division, Treasure Hills Elementary earned first place, Sam Houston Elementary third, Dishman Elementary fifth, Ben Milam Elementary eighth, Austin Elementary ninth and Wilson Elementary 10th place.
In the K-12 Division, Harlingen High School received fourth place, Coakley Middle School eighth and Sam Houston ninth place.
