The Harlingen High School South tennis team won 17-2 over the Brownsville Hanna Eagles. This win assures the Hawks of their 5th straight district championship.
Both men’s and women’s tennis teams had strong performances. Jermiah Gonzalez, Patrick McCallum Hunter Buie and Joseph Rayner led the men’s team, while Andrea Alanis, Andrea Johnson, Allison Kyral and Steffanie Lillard led the women’s team.
This will be the team’s 17th district title, and are currently placed at 10th in the state.
