Elementary students are invited to attend the annual Marathon Kids kick-off ceremony on Dec. 13.
The kick-off will be hosted at Boggus Stadium and begin at 10:00 a.m.
Elementary aged children will take on the organizations 26.2 Mile Challenge by running at least one marathon within a 6 month period at their respective campuses. This is the 8th year that Marathon Kids will host a kick off event in Cameron County.
Since being founded in 1996, Marathon Kids has encouraged 1.8 million K-5th graders to increase their level of physical activity through the 26.2 Mile Challenge.
