Outstanding student creativity was on display during Tuesday night’s regular meeting of the Harlingen Consolidated Independent School District Board of Trustees.
As part of Texas School Board Recognition Month, student artists presented original artworks to board members during the meeting.
The board also heard a presentation from new Ninth Grade Academy Principal Vivian Bauer on the transformational change occurring with the campus.
For the presentation during the Board Recognition Month item in the meeting, board members were very impressed with the talent level of the high school artists, they said during the meeting.
“To be honored by our students in such a significant way feels really special,” Board President Gerry Fleuriet said. “We are so proud of our students, and we are so very grateful for this outstanding art work.”
