Seventh grade student Andrea Susa is sharing her passion for the arts with Coakley Middle School by recreating classic masterpieces.
Susa, who found her passion through the study of art history, has recreated Leonardo Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, Vincent Van Gogh’s Starry Night, and Grant Wood’s American Gothic. Although replicas, she always puts her own spin on their original creations to make them her own.
Her talent has not gone unnoticed. Students, members of administration and Susa’s art teacher are frequently impressed that her personalized creations take less than an hour, with some taking as few as fifteen minutes.
“We’re proud to call this artist a Coakley Cougar,” said Diana Hale, instructional facilitator at Coakley.
With a talent like hers, there’s no stopping this Coakley Cougar as she attempts to conquer the art world.
Way to go Andrea! We are so proud of you at Milam.
