Every year, Harlingen CISD’s Beyond the Bell offers engaging summer activities for students. The program features a variety of courses in academics, athletics, and the arts.
For Summer 2023, the program will be held June 5 through June 29. HCISD Kindergarten through 12th grade students have access to 68 activities that are both unique and educational.
New courses for the program include Line Dancing, Canva for Beginners, Scratch Coding in Google Education, Computer Basics and Typing Skills, How to become a published author, Kung Fu/Tai Chi, Puzzle Mania, Yoga for Kids, 3D design and print, Sublimation Crafting, Braiding 101, Dental Assistant Skills, Maker Space Fun, Crafty Cooking, Basic Beginner Drumbeats, 3D projects using TinkerCAD, Who wants to be a Millionaire, Friendship Bracelets, Art of Forensics for Kids, Mock Trial 101, and Mindfulness Gardening.
The most popular summer courses with the highest registration include Building Fishing Rods, Culinary Arts, Get Up and Craft, Cake Decorating, Cookie Decorating, Lego Fun, Chess, Golf Class, Readers Theater, and Topflight Sports Camp.
