Imelda Trevino has been named principal of Dr. Abraham P. Cano Freshman Academy and Dawn Burbach has been named principal of Stuart Place Elementary.
Imelda Trevino will serve as principal of Cano Freshman Academy after having served as interim for Cano this past year. Prior to that, she was Associate Principal for Teaching and Learning at Harlingen High School for eight years. She was a counselor for nine years and has been working in the field of education for 24 years.
Harlingen CISD named Dawn Burbach as principal of Stuart Place Elementary.
Mrs. Dawn Burbach, who has worked in education for 33 years, most recently served as interim principal of Stuart Place. She held the position of assistant principal for six years before being named as interim principal and was a teacher at Stuart prior to her assistant principal position.
