During the last full week before the holiday break, members of various student organizations at Harlingen High School South were out delivering presents to local children.
Students piled into school buses early morning on Friday, Dec. 15 for the annual Adopt-an-Angel event. Athletes, trainers, and cheerleaders “adopted an angel” and delivered toys to smiling faces at Harlingen South’s Feeder elementary schools.
The deliveries continued on Saturday, Dec. 16 as students and staff members went out to visit families during Operation Santa. Sponsored by Harlingen South’s National Honor Society, the event impacted a total of 33 families. Other organizations involved in the event were Choir, Band, Student Council, PTSA, and National Technical Honor Society.
