Mrs. Perez’s life skills class at Vernon Middle School World Languages Academy celebrated their annual Thanksgiving feast just before the holiday break.
“I have been doing this since I started teaching in 2011,” said life skills teacher Jeanne Perez. “The holidays can get hectic, and this event allows our students to have one-on-one time with their parents.”
Students worked together to prepare a traditional Thanksgiving meal and decorated tables in the Information Literacy Center.
This event provided parents a chance to connect with one another while sharing a special meal alongside students and staff.
“It’s just a really fun time for everybody,” Perez said, reflecting on the day’s joy and togetherness.
