ULA donates $5,000 for HCISD STEM initiatives



The United Launch Alliance awarded the Harlingen Consolidated Independent School District two grants to help fund Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) programs at the elementary and secondary levels.

On April 29, 2017, ULA donated $1,000 to the elementary STEM initiatives and $1,333 to the Harlingen High School Engineering Club.

The aerospace company will also be presenting two other checks in the amounts of $1,333 each to Harlingen High School South and Early College High School bringing the combined sum to $5,000 towards STEM programs in the district.

United Launch Alliance is committed to a robust corporate citizenship program that primarily targets the need to excite the next generation of engineers, focusing primarily on K-12 science and math education.
