On November 6, Harlingen High School and Harlingen High School South competed in the UIL Student Congress District Competition in Harlingen. The top three competitors will advance to the UIL State Student Congress Meet to be held in January at the University of Texas at Austin.
HHS competitors, Grant Burbach and Juan Alvarez, took 1st and 3rd place respectively while Chris Smith from HHSS earned 2nd place.
HHS captured the Region 1 UIL District Champion Title in Congressional Debate.
