The Texas Department of State Health Service will offer free medical services in Harlingen next month.
“Operation Lone Star 2019,” part of an emergency and disaster preparedness initiative by the Texas Department of State Health Services, will begin its health program on July 22, 2019. The clinics and services offered are in conjunction with DSHS, Cameron County Public Health Department and other entities.
There will be immunizations offered as well as health screenings, sports physicals, and eyeglasses. Harlingen CISD will be the sole location offering glasses with a prescription. Other locations offer different services.
Operation Lone Star dates and times:
Monday, July 22 – Thursday, July 25 8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Friday, July 26, 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
