The Harlingen High School South Lady Hawks volleyball team secured the Area Championship on Tuesday. This marks the team’s second consecutive bi-district title.
The Lady Hawks hosted the Edinburg North Lady Cougars for the playoff match held at Harlingen High School South.
The Lady Hawks won all three sets. The score for game one was 25-10, game two was 25-9, and game three was 25-12. The Lady Hawks avoided having to play a fourth or fifth game by winning the match outright.
The win futher moves the Lady Hawks into the playoffs.
They will be competing in the area round on Saturday, Nov. 9 at 12 p.m. The area round playoff match will be held at Harlingen High School South.
