Harlingen School of Health Professions students will be advancing to the HOSA Future Health Professionals State Conference as a result of a successful Area 7 competition in February.
The state conference will take place in Grapevine, Texas from April 12-14.
The following students are advancing to state in their respective events:
1st place in Medical Assisting- Lily Lerma, 11th grade
2nd place in Medical Assisting- Ruby Ortega, 11th grade
3rd place in Medical Assisting- Olivia Lopez
1st place in Nutrition- Morgan Johnson, 11th grade
2nd place in Medical Reading- Will Horn, 11th grade
3rd place in Transcultural Healthcare- Maleni Arredondo, 11th grade
1st place in Clinical Nursing- Katlyn Grant, 12th grade
1st place in Healthy Lifestyle- Ana Ramos, 11th grade
1st place in Health Education- Osman Moradel and Mackenzie Hamby, 9th grade
2nd place in Public Service Announcement- David Castillo, Luis Moctezuma, and Ashley Galvan, 10th grade
Elected as Area 7 Vice President- Matthew Garcia, 11th grade
Nominated as a State Officer Candidate- Aaron Castillo, 11th grade
