HS students sign letters of intent to continue athletic, academic excellence

Three students from the Harlingen Consolidated Independent School District are continuing their athletic and academic dreams by signing letters of intent to schools across Texas.

Samuel Bazan, Mariah Noyola, and Zack Martinez have all signed to play their respective sports at the collegiate level.

Bazan, senior at Harlingen High School, has signed with Wiley College in Marshall, TX to play soccer. He was a four-year mid-field Varsity starter from HHS and was first-team all district honors. Bazan started his soccer career in his early years for the Harlingen youth soccer program.

Noyola, senior at Harlingen High School South signed with The University of Texas at Kingsville to run track.

Martinez, senior from HHSS has signed with The University of Texas Pan American to play baseball. He will be pitching and catching for UTPA. He currently pitches, catches, and plays outfield for HHSS. He was named the Most Valuable Player in the valley.

Students, coaches, community members, college representatives and members of administration came out to share the excitement during the official signing ceremony at the respective campus.
