On Mar. 9 – 12, The Harlingen High School South Speech, Drama and Debate team competed in the Texas Forensics Association State Meet held at Cypress Creek High School in Houston, Texas.
HHSS did an outstanding job as they left the tournament with fourth place overall sweepstakes, fifth place overall in the state for most state qualifications, and first place sweepstakes in Region III.
Region III is made up of 1A-5A high schools, public and private.
Individually, Matthew Almaguer placed third overall in Prose Interpretation and Paige Robles placed second in Dramatic Interpretation.
