This Fall, Orion Barron, recent graduate at Harlingen High School South, will get to continue his academic and athletic career as he moves on to college.
On July 25, Barron signed his letter of intent to play football at Sul Ross State University in Alpine, Texas. Parents, administrators, coaches and community members gathered to watch the momentous occasion.
“I’m really excited for next year,” said Barron. “I’ve been waiting for this opportunity since I was a kid. It’s going to be great to continue football season next year, while being able to go to college in Alpine.”
Barron joined five other students from across the Rio Grande Valley as they signed their letters of intent.
