Harlingen High School junior Bianca Jaramillo has an eye for turning colors and her surroundings into inspirations to create beautiful pieces of artwork.
Jaramillo recently received an Honorable Mention for her beautiful acrylic painting titled ” Spring Bloom” at the Congressional Art Competition an ‘An Artistic Discovery’ on April 27.
Her work along with other high school students who competed in the 34th District of Texas represented by Congressman Filemon Vela was exhibited in the Brownsville Museum of Art.
Jaramillo participated in the competition, which is held each spring, and sponsored by the members of the U.S. House of Representatives. The competition’s mission is to encourage the artistic talents of high school students in the nation, as well as in congressional districts.
