Several Harlingen High School athletes were presented with the University Interscholastic League Scholar Award for the 2015-2016 school year.
Addison Dickey, Annika Perez, Claudia Juarez, Elvira Fraga, Marissa Gasca, and Ryane Medrano were presented the UIL Scholar Award for their excellent athletic and academic accomplishments.
Basketball players Elvira Fraga and Addison Dickey were also named to the Texas High School Coaches Association Academic All-State Team for the 2015-2016 school year.
Fraga is receiving 2nd team honors and Dickey was awarded Honorable Mention.
The THSCA Academic All-State Team and UIL Scholar Award accept nominations each year and honors are presented based on student athleticism, GPA, and leadership qualities.
