HCISD students shine at Texas Association of Future Educators State Competition



Harlingen Consolidated Independent School District students shined at the Texas Association of Future Educators (TAFE) State Competition held in Lubbock.

Harlingen High School team members, Alejandro Maciel, Gio Estrada, and Victoria Gonzalez placed top 5 in Chapter Year Book Contest. Antonia Prado and Bianca Delgado placed top 8 in Teacher Created Materials.

Antonia Prado placed 5th in TAFE Moment Speech and 3rd in Job Interview Contest. She will be advancing to the Future Educators of America National Competition.

Harlingen High School South student, Haley Allen received Honorable Mention in the Education Fundamental Leadership Test, and Amanda Del Rio received a red ribbon for her Bulletin Board on ‘Swirling to Success’.

The national competition will be held in Washington, D.C. on April 23 – 25.
