HCISD celebrates Teacher Appreciation Week 2014

From May 5 through May 9, the Harlingen Consolidated Independent School District will celebrate educators across its 28 campuses during Teacher Appreciation Week.

Throughout the week, different messages will be on display on each of the district’s campuses to showcase the important role teachers’ play in a student’s success. Teachers work to ensure that every student receives a world-class education, and play many roles in student’s life. From listener to role model, teachers are always there to support and motivate students to achieve the goals they’ve set for themselves.

“Our educators set the groundwork for our students to succeed,” said Superintendent Dr. Art Cavazos. “They come in each and every day ready to provide engaging lessons and meet the needs of every child that walks through our doors. Their efforts are great, and we thank them for their dedication to education and their mission of success for all.”

The district encourages all community members to show their gratitude towards educators throughout the week.
