The Board of Trustees, district administrators, Harlingen officials, and community members came together to celebrate public education as the Harlingen Consolidated Independent School District kicked off its weeklong dedication to Texas schools on March 2 with an opening ceremony at the Harlingen School of Health Professions.
The excitement is part of the 2015 Texas Public Schools Week (TPSW), which gives students and educators the chance to highlight the outstanding work that takes place on their campus and other campuses around the state each day. Throughout the week the campuses at HCISD will be hosting celebrations and different activities to honor public education.
“Today they learn, tomorrow they lead” has been designated as this year’s theme for TPSW.
